Coron 2009: Home Away From Home

We stayed at Mommita's Place during our 4 days stay in Coron. It was an old house that is transformed into lodge. The lodge is easy to find since many locals knows the owner and there are nearby stores to buy necessities if necessary. The owner of the house whom we called mamita is very friendly and accommodating. She always makes sure everyone is well tendered. Also she also ask one of her staff to accompany our group for the trips (a big plus to take care of the food and pics :D )

The place have 2 dinning room to accommodate all travelers staying there. The food served is so good and yummy. It was cooked by Tito Lito, Mommita's brother. Most food served is fresh seafood. Lucky if there is no high tide for those big delicious crabs served.

The room where we stayed is big and clean though it has low ceiling. It was equipped with air-con and fan. Though it was not well lighted thus you need to go to the other side of the room where the light bulb is located to be able to find stuff in the bag.

Another big plus is our comfort room is big that 2 person can take a bath on the same time particularly if you are in a big group like us or in a hurry to leave. However there is no hot water. :( But if someone don't like sharing, there is common bathroom outside.

I’ve seen also some of the other rooms (we sneak on some open doors :D)and they are also spacious and well maintained though some do not have their own bath room.

The place has a small tereza on the 2nd floor with the only cable television. It’s a nice place to spend the evening to play games, drink, smoke or just relax.

I recommend this place as one good place to stay in Coron. It’s very homey and cheaper than the other hotel in the area!

air

The air... its wellness and abundance
Breathe in this gift that supports the system
And dries the dampness of caused by the stream consciousness
Yet it suffocates the passion living within
By its rich abundance

water

The water... its freshness and crisp

Dissolving all the qualms and uncertainties;

Cutting of the fire ranging the vast dryness;

Quenching the thirst of the hapless.

land

The land…its nature and beauty

Where each step is carve on the fortress.

Leaving a spot to behold the incoming;

More than a treasure, but a history

Boracay 2009: Comfy Stay at Isla Gecko

The hotel is relaxing and very homey. It is spacious and styled like a rest house (it reminds me of my lolo’s rest house). The place uses native products to accentuate a comfy atmosphere. Also the owner of Isla Gecko is friendly and accommodating. There is a mini bar near the lobby. They also offer food all day which is cheaper than the restaurant in the beach front and some I can say is good for sharing.

The inn is not beach front thus we enjoy calm evening if we want to relax and enjoy, compared to the busy beach area. But it is walking distance from the beach and is near at talipapa market. I can say the place is accessible to any commodities.

The room we rented is complete with air-conditioning system, cable television, and private tiled bathroom with toilet and shower. You don’t need to bring towel since they provide one to each guest (and we are group of 6).

Overall, it is one of the best place I stayed in. Good commodities and also economical.

gloomy

a deep state of dismal complication and on this shape, linger a life of great anxiety and chaos within.. pandemonium is the name of this world, a world filled with vague identity and commotion as well as uneasiness. there is less violence compared to era of war and combat though there is much presence of hostility and uncertainty. havoc was the call of the individuality within as screams filled the space, threats are nauseous yet entrancing.
calmness is a word against the law of this world, never seem to find even the slightest moment of silence... nor a serene level from physical, emotional, spiritual until the psychological state is achieve. and when silence came in, it is deafening and maddening, like a deep cave that is not yet discovered.
escapable? somehow it is yet, it can never be separated on the everyday happenings, for each passing time, each passing moment, generates a unfathomable condition. qualms became a good friend and shoulder on one’s capability and ability as sanity is questioned, rumored and demoralized.
survival is rare on this mean world.
no one can escape its brutality.

cried again

It’s been four days since the short talk occured, wondering if the excuses said are true. Really feeling down after, for this is another turmoil raising within me that time. So let flow of the feelings as the drops fall slowly. Can’t help but think back of the past occurrence.

Hapless.

Alone.

It’s a Friday night. Supposed to go out that night but sadly he was in another place with his cousins. The days before, I am really giddy for that day to come for this is the only date we most meet after the busy days on our own. Personal stuff to attend to. Work. It really saddens me not to be near him for long time. Thoughts of less chats and less time for each other.

Tried to go out after the event just to ease out the feelings. Watch a movie. Stroll and shop in tha mall. Take a lot of food. Bury my self with books.

Damn! I really miss him. But I guess there will never be a new conversation again
