Unboxing: BTOB's Complete Album

After a quite a while of waiting, I finally receive the copy of the album ordered from BTOBPH and Yan(@/december_melody). It took a bit longer that I expected to receive the album though Yan is patient enough to provide update and answer queries regarding the delay that occurred.

The album came well packed – covered with bubble wrap and brown envelope before it’s sealed. And damn, the album is really heavy and big than I expected. Plus it includes a printed group photo and printed signed photo of Minhyuk as freebies!

The album is quite large and thickest album they’ve released so far and really heavy I think. The concept is quite refreshing with less make up and neat look. They use white cover this time which highlights well the photo cover of the boys dressed in suites. The only problem I can think of is keeping it white clean and maintain the neatness once it is added in my shelf (even I put it back on the covers, sigh!).

Then there were 8 booklets instead of a simple photobook – 1 group and 7 for each members. After browsing each, the boys look so grown up and gorgeous with this serious expression. Though their dork side will never be out of the picture as shown on the small insert on each booklet.

I took part in the photo card pool ‘to be sure that I’ll get Minhyuk’s version and got lucky that I indeed got his card! Though it means less thrilling to open the album but it’s really hard to hunt Minyhuk’s card.

The CD design is the simplest yet cool, right? Plus I also love the theme they use this time – simple and laid back yet shows the cool and manliness of each member. It’s refreshing to see the boys dressed in simple white and black outfit (though I prefer the ones in white.)

Aside from the title track, my fave so far were Everything’s Good, Her Over Flowers and the acoustic version of Insane. These four were those I wouldn’t mind to be on repeat on my playlist.

It’s Okay and Everything’s Good brings so much good vibes and such an easy song to lift a bad mood thus it can’t be missed on my playlist. On the other hand, the acoustic version of Insane is really refreshing track to listen. Lastly, the song Her Over Flower is another goody song to listen but more on up beat compared with It’s Okay and I can’t help but smile every time I listen to it.

Overall, the album is really worth after the long wait for them to release a full album. The members are doing good in participating in the album. And all tracks are really good and cool to listen to. 

Unboxing: BTOB's Move Album

Yay, finally have my copy of BTOB’s Move Album (though it’s my 2^nd copy but I haven’t took the first one from Lei)! Exaggerating as it seems but I am really happy that I bought it for real instead of ordering online. One of the perks for having a vacation here in Seoul.

First, thing I notice is the packaging is different from the previous albums released. The album was wrapped with felt paper-like material that serves as it’s envelop. The paper can be torn (as shown in the picture) but I decided to open it carefully so it will not be torn.

The photo book has the back pocket which serves as the CD holder. Slipping from inside is one of the version of Eunkwang’s photocard (though I was hoping for Minhyuk or Hyunsik card).

Upon browsing, I saw this voucher for a gift from Tony Moly (can someone let me know if this can still be used, please?) and promo card for the album.

Photobook

After checking those stuff, I check on the photos included in the book though I already saw them from those who posted the scans at Twitter. The first few pictures show their charming side. All I can say is Minhyuk is really cute and adorable! But I have to note that Eunkwang really looks good on this one. Anyway, the later part photos are those taken from the filming of the music video.

Tracklist

The cover of the photobook was engraved with the new logo of the group and the back with the songs included in the album. Here’s the track list:

For the track list, the album includes 6 songs including the bonus Shake It. The carrier single of the album is titled You’re So Fly which is good and catchy but I like Beep Beep more with its beat than this one (sorry, but the song is still on repeat for my list). But on the side, I love the music video of this which is shows their funny, cute side! My top pick are “You’re My Angel” (넌 나의 천사), "You’ll Be Alright" (잘 지내겠죠) and “Happening”. 

Just like the Beep Beep album, the members participated in writing and composing the tracks for the album. This shows how artful they are with their crafts. I am happy to see how more hardworking the members are to produce their own songs. Minhuk, Ilhoon and Hyunsik were mostly noted for their shared works. And this time, Peniel helps with lyrics penning down some lines for You're My Angel.

You’re My Angel is a sure fave of mine from the time I hear it. This song has a mellow beat that is blending well with the lyrics coming from rapper line Minhyuk, Ilhoon and Peniel and not to forget, Joo’s voice as a bonus.

Happening is another song I like as it gives off an easy, feel good vibe. It is a song I wouldn’t mind listening on repeat plus it’s nice to hear Peniel sing.

 "You’ll Be Alright" (잘 지내겠죠) is slow song that is surely added in my playlist. I find it soothing while listening to this one with a really nice blending of their voices.

Not to forget, the bonus track Shake It is another good song to be on repeat for my ears.

Overall, the album is good with 4 songs I like among the 6 tracks but I was expecting more in this new album and I was hoping for a full album instead of mini one. Lastly, it gives a hanging feeling at the end which is a bit disappointing.

201408: New Haul This Week

Yay, it's here! Got the replacement bag the current bag I use for work. The canvas bag is way much bigger and spacious than the one I am currently using which is good – got space for the umbrella and slippers for this rainy season and my note. I love the black bag but I really need to let it go before it is greatly damage (hoping the colors can still be fixed though). Anyway, I bought this from an online store called 'The Balik Bayan Box Sale' in Facebook.

This is the first time I made an order from this shop after much thoughts and checking for feedback. All I can say is the handler/owner of the shop is courteous and gives quick response for query and clarification even if it is sent via e-mail only. 

Next are my sets for my collection card. First is Sunny 10 cardst bough from koreancards1004. The owner of the shop is friendly and sends the card promptly after payment is made. I won from the auction the Xiumin and Kris version C card (hoping to have the A and B version too!)

Everything is neatly wrapped when I receive the cards though I feel sad that the Shoemarker card got some marks (compared to the one I previously bought) and not inside the folder-like pack.

A new week started with good news right? :D

Joining Sikstar Taiwan's Project

I rarely participate on fan site project since I rarely make it on deadline, or I join group effort for support and/or know the project when it’s over already. Doing this stuff is quite new for me since I mostly write to express myself. Next I thought that I am old enough to do and be part of it but still I give it a try at the end. So I decided to join BTOB’s Hyunsik fan site SIkstar Taiwan.

Starting, the first thing I ask is why? There’s a lot of thought running on my mind for the birthday message – it can be a one liner, in paragraph or just a simple thought yet it should be crafty.

Guess my work paid off as I was chosen to receive these great pictures of Hyunsik.
