This Is Who I Am

Weird.
Yes I am.
No seconds guessing.
No whys.
This is who I am.
It’s the truth.
For I will never be and can never be someone else.
‘Coz there’s only one me in this world.
There is just me - the ONE and ONLY ME.
No second place
Nor no number two.
Accept or Leave is the only choice I give you.
No doubts.
For I won’t change because it’s what you wanted me to be.
For I can’t be someone who you desired me to be.
I can’t be just anyone.
I define ME, not by you.
This is me.

This is who I am.

Dream KPOP Fantasy Concert 2

Sunday and I’m so excited that I am going to see BTOB finally to perform live. Head early to Araneta to get my ticket and the goods from BTOBPH fan club but too bad, the light stick is not available due to Lunar New Year and I can’t find a shop or someone selling fan made light stick that I can use. I end using the banner from the club only.

Getting early at the venue, I’m expecting the show to start on time (7:00 PM) however it starts at a much later time due to artists still practicing (heard its Super Junior M as the other fans mentioned) though they allowed the concert viewers to enter early at Araneta Coliseum for easy segregation of the ticket holders (I think). One good thing is I’m seated beside two Melodies (yippee!) which means I won’t be alone screaming and singing along BTOB’s song but majority of the concert goers were fans of BAP and SuJu- M.

The concert starts with the opening act from a kpop contest who sang English songs. It could have been much better if they song KPOP song for the event as a gesture to the performers. Anyway, let me proceed with the concert. J

First to perform is BTOB with Ilhoon spinning as the remaining 6 members merged on the stage. Happy to see them at last but I find it sad that they are the first group to perform that night ‘coz it means I need to watch the rest of the performers until the end of the show. Anyway, they are so good performing live which I think helps to catch the attention of the fans of other groups. It is a confirmation that they don’t have just the looks but TALENT.

They start with the remix of WOW as opening song followed by short introduction of the members. It was a good start as they showcase their dance moves with flipping Minhyuk. Ilhoon looks adorable as he keeps on bowing and apologizing for the mistake made at the start which is not noticeable at all. Next song sang was Imagine, followed Second Confession where they throw flowers to the crowd (lucky girls on the standing section) and lastly Thriller before they wave bye. I just so love each of their performance.

One good advantage for them is they have Peniel. Peniel  do the translation on conveying the message the rest of the members wanted to tell. Hyunsik is cute as he introduced himself and saying that he visited the country before and saying ‘Mahal Kita’ at the end. Eunkwang introduced himself next. Of course I scream lot when the charming Minhyuk speaks though he looks tired. Changsub so good as he tried to engage the crowd by asking if we knows his friend Jonghwan (though most people said it’s Joan). But Sungjae received most of the squeal..  he is really an appealing maknae!

Second group to perform is AJAX. The groups is composed of Park Sungmin,  Moon Hyojun, Lee Seungyeo, Seo Jaehyung, Kim Hyeongkon, Ham Seungjin, and Maeng Yoonyoung. The group performs their hits 2MYX and Hot Game. Also they even serenade the crowd singing Angels Brought Me Here.

Next is Block whom I only knew due to its member collaboration with Minhyuk before the debut.  Block B perform Very Good, Nalina, Nice Day and Be The Light. Also, they are the only group who performed an encore at the end of their part.

A-Prince followed who enters the stage in all-white outfit. What’s surprising is they sang Nasayo Na Ang Lahat and even dance to the Otso Otso to much for our delight. Anyway, they sang the songs Mambo, Hello and My Lady.

Then next to perform  are Himchan, Yongguk, Daehyun, Youngjae, Jong Up and Zelo who composed the group BAP. BAP is another crowd drawer aside from the the whistles brought by their fans. I first knew them when I saw their MV for No Mercy a year ago and I can say they are good.  They sang One Shot, No Mercy, Warrior and Bad Man to name a few. I also like some of their songs due to their catchy tunes and few that often stuck on my head. Maybe this will be the next group on my bias list.

The last group to perform is Super Junior M who got the biggest group of fans inside Araneta.  This is the first time I am going to listen and watch them and I don’t know any of their song except Sorry, Sorry. Anyway, the group consists of Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook (one I knew most since he host Sukira), Sungmin, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Zhou Mi and Henry. They first sang in group with the song Go. Afterwards, the duo Donghae and Kyuhyun sang Oppa, Oppa followed Siwon got a solo performance with. Then they close the performance with Breakdown.

Few points for this concert. First, the ticket is expensive for a concert with many groups performing knowing that it is only SJM as crowd drawer compared to the remaining 5 performer. Second, there’s a lot of problem on the sounds. The technical team could have checked the sound system well. Microphones have been changed from time to time and tech issues are very audible all throughout the night.

Next, I find the stage too small for such event. I think the prod company expects too much that many will be able to watch the concert thus making more spaces for the standing VIP area. Lastly, the show starts really late though they allow the fans to enter early at the venue.

I enjoy part of the concert since I knew only few groups and I am just waiting for BTOB to perform.  At the end, I find it ‘bitin’ – like something was missing. And I just find it odd that most concerts have a final ending like most concerts do, don’t you think?
